oddly satisfying videos of our services!
We detected a major leak on the pool return line in this video. The leak was located right at the edge of the flower bed tucked behind some trees and bushes.
One of the more obvious gravity leaks as it pulled water so hard it caught a leaf and led me right to the problem area. This doesn’t happen very often but a great representation of a gravity leak in the plaster or tile line!
Full LEak detection service
We pride ourselves in being thorough and honest. For our full leak test we investigate each and every part of the pool and spa individually so that we don’t miss anything. There can easily be more than one leak!
A full leak detection breaks down in to two parts. The first part consists of the dye test where we go through each and every part inside the pool. Using a syringe with dense, purple dye we are able to visualize the flow of water and therefor see when water is leaking out the plaster or any seams. The second part of the test, the infamous pressure test, is conducted by taping into each individual line with our specialized equipment. We are able to know exactly which lines are holding pressure and which ones are broken. We then use an air compressor and a sonic amplifier to pin point exactly where the leak or broken pipe is underground whether it is located under the deck or just in the grass. After we are finished with the test you will receive a full report on the findings, see the “example report” page of the website for what that may look like!
Pressure test and locate one leak for one line
In some cases a problem or leak can narrowed down to one line. Some examples may sound like “when I run the Polaris cleaner water pours out of the deck” or “when the deep end skimmer is turned on air gets in the pump and causing it to capitate or loose prime”. in these more unique situations we offer the ability to pressure test and locate a leak on one line. Using our specialized equipment without the full price of getting everything tested.

Epoxy Sealant
Most of the plaster cracks, pool lights, and seams that are leaking can be sealed with a two part epoxy that is mixed onsite. This special epoxy cures under water which allows us to fix the leaking area without draining the pool. We start by cleaning off the crack or seam to insure the area is ready to bond with the epoxy. This can be a very cost effective remedy to those gravity leaks.
